Specialty Berries

A raspberry/blackberry cross that was developed in 1962 by the Tay River in Scotland. This fruit has lots of Vitamin C and is a good source of folate and fiber. Great in smoothies, an awesome jam, added to fruit salad, etc. These are available for picking approximately July 1st for about 3 weeks..

These delicious berries are related to the blackberry and a large dark maroon colour. Great for jams, preserves, pies, syrups, and desserts. These are available for U-Pick from approximately mid-July to July 31st. Phone for up-to-date information.

These are not the same as the small berries on the roadside. These are cultivated varieties, grown in rows and tied up so that it is much easier to pick. They are really tasty large black berries that are carefully grown on our farm. Available approximately July 1st to mid-August.

We also sell a variety of in-season vegetables. We have early nugget potatoes, green and yellow beans, peas, red and green cabbage, rutabaga, red and golden beets and zucchini. You won't find fresher vegetables anywhere, as all our produce is grown right on Westham Island, within 5 minutes of our stand. Also, new this year, we will be growing our own little pumpkin patch in the fall!

We make our own jams on the farm, using all our own fruit and use less sugar than the regular recipes. There are no artificial sweeteners in our jam, and have a delicious fresh fruit flavour. Once opened, keep refrigerated.
We have a great honey section offering clover, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry honey. We get our honey from Honeyview Farms in Rosedale, BC. They are available in 350 gram or 1 kg jars.
We make our own pickled beans and pickled red and golden beets. This is made with all local ingredients.
